Biografia : Pillory

The Pillory story begins in the summer of 2003 when bassist Chris Danecek and drummer Darren Cesca started laying down riffs and drum patterns for a new project. Having worked together in the Boston band Virulence, Chris and Darren already had experience in making quality brutal music. Although Chris" expertise is playing bass guitar, and Darren"s is percussion, both are proficient guitar players and vocalists; able to lay down some of the most brutal sounds the Boston scene has ever experienced. With a barrelful of songs written, and a desired sound established, Chris and Darren began trying out guitar players to handle the razorblade riffs that they had developed. After many tryouts, Dan Sanchez and Marcos Solorzano were chosen to take on guitar duties. The group took on the name Pillory, and began to hone their skills, practicing militarily until the mayhem they created was a blistering barrage of controlled chaos, from rapid-fire grinds to punishing breakdowns. At this point the search was on to find the right vocalist. There were countless tryouts in the course of several months. The band members met with many quality vomit-projecting artists, but it was when Pete Putrid stepped into the band"s practice space and unleashed the brutality that stewed in his vocal chords, that the band knew their Pillory death squad was complete. It is now Pillory"s duty to let loose their precise and vicious style of extreme heavy music onto the Boston scene and the rest of the world. A full-length album is scheduled for release in the Fall of 2004, along with local appearances and tours to come. The Pillory story has no foreseeable end, as this group of talented artists is bursting with creative energy, and dedication to brutality.
