Orbiter is a metal band from Spain that foster deep and authentic tradition, rooted in the old school Bay Area metal, constructing their own style through the time by adding a variety of progressive elements, balancing between melodic thrash toward death metal/progressive sound, in the recent period.
Officially exists since 1995. under the name Second Coming. Recorded a demo with 10 songs titled ‘Dying World’. Not found a publisher and the project failed.
Second Coming is going through many personnel changes.
For a long time after, the band continues to work as a cover band. He played a repertoire of bands who have most impact on them: Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Anthrax, SOD, Carcass, Pantera and many others …
2005th Second Coming changes its name to NDE.
Not long after this, NDE collapses due to music disagreements, and for the first time the rest of the team takes the name Orbiter.
2007th followed by entry into the studio and record the first official album entitled ‘Near Death Experience’. The material is at the intersection between melodic thrash and heavy style, with clean tenor vocals. It contains eleven songs. Thematically linked to the dark side of human psyche, astral travel, anti-religious approach and some personal experiences.
In the period 2007-2009. band had a two-year pause.
2009. is done remastering of the debut album ‘Near Death Experience’, and Orbiter is searching for a publishing label.
In the period 2009-2010.Orbiter significantly change the style of music, crossing from melodic heavy/thrash to much harder, fast and aggressive thrash variant, in combination with the death metal growl singing, adding progressive technical elements and their fusion. Thematically goes in the direction of conspiracy theories, ancient civilizations, UFOs, philosophy and meditation on the process and mechanism of action of the Universe.
New demo 2010. was recorded under working name ‘Second Coming’, and currently is in preparation.
Today, 2010. Orbiter continues to work as an band project of same two people from start: Mrkobrad Budimir (guitar) and Radovan Dubljevic (drums).
