Originally founded under the name of “Tears Of Mystigma”, the band changed their name to the catchier “Mystigma” in 2005 after a couple of releases and numerous live performances (a. o. at the WGT). After the much-noticed album “Universal Surrender” (2005) it is time now for the new opus “Andagony”.
This album being produced by Dieter Steffan at Lunatics Studios and audio-mastered by Vincent Sorg (In Extremo, Letzte Instanz, Xandria) at Principal Studios, is a full-blown gothic rock masterpiece. And every single beat of the twelve album tracks reflects the intense and creative development process which the band has experienced since the last album.
The band defines entirely new standards by this album. Straightforward but always with a sense of compositional nuances and melodies, the tracks go point-blank into your ears. And frontman and singer Torsten simply knows how to give the necessary depth, roughness and above all individuality to the songs with his coarse and soulful voice.
“Andagony“ is a vigorous and gloomy but always melodic rock album which is worth discovering.
