The band was formed in the end of 1997 but they started to rehearse in January of 1998, when they found a place to do it.
In the beginning the music was a mixture of Death, Black, Doom... but trying to search an own style, that is something the band has already got although they are sometimes compared to Samael, Mithotyn, Crematory or even Iron Maiden. The first gig was in September of 1998 and in the following months there were several gigs too until in January of the next year there were the first changes of line up, due to the musical way where the band was pointing at.
So between January and June of that year the bassist, Drummer and guitarist left the band, being quickly replaced for other members.
Few months later, and with the new line up, the band started to play again and in November of 1999 MISTWEAVER started to record the first mini CD called "Sol Obscurabitur" and it was released in June of 2000.
They released 1000 copies and nowadays are almost sold out. To support that album the band was playing several gigs and one of the most important was the 26th of September of 2000 in Madrid besides Centinex, Nunslaughter and Into Darkness into the Repulsive Revenge Tour.
There were not many people but it was something important for the band.
The band was playing and playing more everytime and in different places as Vitoria, Irun, Madrid, Caceres, Bilbao,...

In January of 2001 the band came again into the studio to record the second album. They did it in their own town, Burgos, but after several weeks of hard working they decided to change of studio due to the lack of quality of that work and finally, in April, they went to record to Tala Studios in Bermeo (Bizkaia).
The recording was self-produced once more and because of that, it had to be done very quickly, only in a weekend and the next Saturday for the mixings.
The album was named "Dream's Domain" and the cover artwork was made for the german Michael Schindler of Dragon Design. It's really a masterpiece that shows perfectly the lyric of Dream's Domain, which is about death, nightmares,...
The inlay and the booklet was once more made by Alberto, a good friend of the band. While the CD was been manufactured the band was playing and taking part of several competitions, such as Villa de Bilbao, Nivel Cero and in little competition in Bar La Casa, in Valladolid, being finalist in these two.
The factory that was manufacturing the CD, unbelievely, lost the Masters and, after a delay of several weeks, the CD was made for other factory but the misfortune was with MISTWEAVER once more and, after another delay of time, the CD saw the light but with a defective inlay due to the lack of professionallity of the factory.
Months later, Michael Schindler drew another inlay for the band and they was delivering the new ones between those ones who bought the CD.
MISTWEAVER started to work with Medusa Productions for the worldwide distribution of the CD, getting a lot of good reactions from the magazines and radios.
Then, the band signs with a new label called Anfeca, that belongs to Zero Records and the bassist decided to leave the band.
So David came into the band as the new member and this is the line up with Edu on the guitar, David J, on the keyboard, Guillermo on the drums and Raul Weaver on the guitar and vocals.
The band was playing several gigs to support Dream's Domain, playing even in Portugal this time.

MISTWEAVER was composing new songs at the same time that they were playing several gigs and when the new album was prepared they decided to go to Germany to record the new stuff. So the new album has been recorded at the Space Lab Studios in Kempen by Oliver Philipps and Christian "Moschus" Moors.
In these studios have been recording many important bands such as Ancient Rites, Danse Macabre, Avulsed, Everon, Dark at Dawn,...

This is the most professional album the band has ever recorded and the cover artwork has been made by Michael Schindler once more.
And when everyhing seemed to be perfect, and after MISTWEAVER would blindly trust in Zero Rec., they decided to leave that label because of the lack of help and support from them.
MISTWEAVER released their third album called " The Aftermath" under Golden Lake Productions and are now writing new songs for the upcoming album.
