In early 2007, Raz created Merciless Savage as a solo project. This was purely a creative outlet to span the musical void, neccecitated by the lack of local musicians who shared a similar vision. Merciless Savage tracks were written, recorded and produced on a relativley primitive setup, with all instruments and programming performed by Raz. Although this was producing results, Merciless Savage was still confined to a small room.
Come late 2009, two years since conception, Merciless Savage moved from the constrains of a 'studio only' project, and embraced the live scene. The first gig was at Speaker's Corner in Colwyn Bay, and recieved a good response. More gigs were booked and performed, but playing a solo project live had it's limits.

Finally in 2010, Merciless Savage evolved from primordial soup to a full band, featuring Raz on guitar and vocals, Nige on guitar, Mark on bass and Ben on drums. The first gig with this new lineup was again at Speaker's Corner in Colwyn Bay.

Since then the band has had a few lineup changes, and currently floats at an average of 1.5 members. Two releases are available from our Bandcamp page, and there is more material and new members in the pipeline.
