Biografia : Lunar Aurora

Aran and Whyrd formed Lunar Aurora in December of the year 1994. Shortly after Biil and Nathaniel completed the ranks.
In October 1995 Lunar Aurora recorded their first demo, called "A Wandering Winterdream Beneath the Cold Moon". This demo was released in November 1995 in a limited edition of 100 copies.
In February 1996 the studio was entered again to record their second demo entitled "Auf Dunklen Schwingen". This demo helped a lot to spread the band"s name around in the underground and caught the attention of the new German label Voices Productions, who signed the band straight away.
Both demos are completely sold out by now! In August 1996 Lunar Aurora went into the studio to record their debut album “Weltengänger". This album consists of 5 brand-new, really long epic and majestic Black Metal hymns and a re-recorded version of the old demo classic "Rebirth Of An Ancient Empire".The album proved Lunar Aurora is without no doubt the most promising German Black Metal Act. Shortly after the recordings were finished, Sindar replaced keyboarder Biil in November 1996.
Finally the band went back into studio in February 1998 to record their long awaited second album “Seelenfeuer” as well as an exclusive track for the upcoming Split 7". After “Seelenfeuer” was released and the scene quarreled about the grading of the complicated song-structures and the brutal sound, Nathaniel left the band out of personal reasons. Still during the work to the material for their third long-player.
Lunar Aurora's Record Company Voices Productions was in the need to cancel the flags. Once more the Line-up became whole through the guest musician B.C. and they forged within only a few months the material to "Of stargates and bloodstained celestial spheres". Meanwhile the band was already in negotiations with Kettenhund Records. After having heard the new material, the company made an agreement with the band.
In March 1999 the band entered the studio and in May "Of stargates and bloodstained celestial spheres" appeared. Once again the Line-Up fell apart, because the Session Drummer B.C. left the band. But already in June Lunar Aurora have found replacement in Narg. At the end of 1999 the band lost its rehearsal room and had to look for a new location. After this had been found, Narg left the band for personal reasons. The session drummer during the album "Of Stargates…” returned to Lunar Aurora. Since the cooperation with Kettenhund Records has stopped, the band is searching for a new label.
In a time when Black Metal is getting more and more commercial, Lunar Aurora seperate themselves from the mainstream with highly intense Black Metal inferno the way it was meant to be played!
