Biografia : Line Of Sight (CZ)

In the autumn 2009 the band Starostovi muzi (Mayor´s Men) almost split up. The band had played tens of shows introducing mostly their own music but also covers of songs by Iron Maiden, AC/DC, Deep Purple etc. The band leader Pavel Fröhlich and singing guitar player Roman Sacek are the only representatives of the original line-up now.
After a few-month search to complete the line-up, Jarda Dufek bass, (ex-Salamandra) joined. Shortly after (in March 2010) Martin Kazda came, and finally the guitar player Tonda Brychta (ex Hydrant, Charon, Zabita nedele, Project Rock) entered the group. Being complete, the band started rearranging the programme to play live.
The first show of the new line-up (with the “old” name Starostovi muži) took place in May 2010 in Koberice u Brna.
The band went performing under the name Starostovi muži until August 2010 when they decided that the shift in genre deserves a change of name too. The sound of new songs better corresponds with lyrics in English, so the band is now Line of Sight.
The band members now strove to perform their own music supported by lyrics by an excellent lyricist Katka Pastorková (heard at Memoria or early Salamandra albums and other).
The band new songs focus on thrash guitar riffs accompanied by strong vocals ranging from growl to ultrafalsetto. Very important is the unique atmosphere and dynamics of the compositions.
