...From the darkest places of the world, hidden in the halls of twisted minds, enunciating the antithesis, expressing sadness, hatred, deception disappointment and deep thoughts of death; all inherent feelings of a human being...Katharzys was born. A structure strongly influenced by Death Metal, Black Metal, Trash Metal and Heavy Metal, but not less related to Jazz and Progressive Rock. Katharzys, represents the density and strong feeling of metal, fused with spiritual elements and deep philosophies. This ideology started at the end of 2001 in San José, Costa Rica. Where they began the spread of their message throughout the national territory, moving crowds and being acknowledge by many fans. Revolutionizing the costarrican metal music with a clean sound, full of quality and strong tech-shredding riffs, joined by a gutural disturbing voice. The local Metal scene changed forever in 2005, when their Demo was out. Capturing the doctrine giving the audience a sample of the arduous process of investigation and creative hard work they had been up to on four years; rescuing the bases of Deathmetal and giving it a new face. A year later, in 2006 Katharzys with impressive success "killed it" as the support band for the German's of Destruction. (Tuesday April 11th, Planet Mall, Costa Rica). Where hundreds of faithful fans vibrated with the virtuous sounds of the band, tearing their ears apart with a impressive performance. Their horizons widen when in March of 2007, they were invited to play in the most important gig for all the local musicians, the Mundoloco Festival (Saturday 31th of March, Jaulares, Costa Rica). Where they managed to stand out between more than 20 bands, and gave quite a show between more than 4000 people. November 11th, 2007, Katharzys pulled out their latest album-EP "The beggining of desolation". When they played as the support band for the British's of Napalm Death. Giving one more time a reason to talk about, because of their shows and for being THE NEW SOUND OF CHAOS!...
