Biografia : Infested Entrails

Infested Entrails were formed in the rural Australian town of Orange in 2009 by Lyndon Southwell who had been writing a few death metal tracks on guitar. He recruited Matthew Budge to play drums for the project. A few auditions were conducted for second guitarist but it wasn’t until 2010 that Lyndon’s long lost cousin, Matthew Frame, was drunkenly acquired from the pub to be the permanent second guitarist. By mid 2010 Josh “Hillbilly” Lear had turned up to enough rehearsals to become Infested Entrails permanent bass guitarist. A couple of vocalists tried out but it wasn’t until 2011 Infested Entrails found A.J. After an impressive audition a permanent vocalist had been secured.

With a full band finally secured, Infested Entrails began honing their sound and rehearsing with the hopes of doing some shows.
The SRPSKI E.P. was recorded at Aftershock records in the bands local town of Orange in mid 2011.
By October the band had scored their first local gig, supporting Lynchmada, Deprivation and Synthetic Breed at the Victoria Hotel. A few more local gigs were to follow. After getting a decent amount of local support the band headed to Sydney to play shows such as the East West Death Grind Fest and numerous other Sydney Death/Grind slots. The band also played a support show for U.S. band Macabre on their Australian tour.

The band played extensively during 2011/12 in Sydney, ACT and regional NSW supporting acts such as Red Bee, Granny Fist, Demon Foetal Harvest, Exekute and King Parrott. They also lost long-term bass player Josh “Hillbilly” Lear due to personal reasons in mid 2012. He was briefly replaced by Nathan "Attak" Barrow who also had to leave to become a man of the world.
With a plethora of shows under their belts, Infested Entrails traveled to The Brain studio in Sydney in November 2012 to record their debut full length album ‘Defiling a Piece of the Deceased’. Clayton Segelov and the rest of team at The Brain dealt with numerous meltdowns and intoxicated episodes over two weeks but in the end a fine slab of Aussie Death Metal was made. Over the next twelve months the band continued to play many shows in Sydney, regional NSW, Canberra and their hometown of Orange. including a show that was televised throughout Australia and New Zealand. Andrew Shiells joined the group as bass guitarist for a brief period in 2013 but after many in-fights and disagreements he decided to call it a day after only a few shows. Since then Infested Entrails has remained a bassless entity.

Infested Entrails was left without a vocalist suddenly when AJ decided to move to Queensland in late 2013. This was a shock due to the mixing and mastering being almost complete for the debut album.
Despite some initial difficulties, having now secured a new vocalist in the form of Jordan Giblett, the band continues to play shows and is looking forward to the release of their debut album on July 26th 2014. This release will be followed by a mini tour of NSW and the ACT.
