Infera Bruo (meaning "Hellish Noise" in the Esperanto language) are from the Boston, Massachusetts area. The band formed in late 2009 when keyboardist Germanicus (The Girls, Shut Up, Cul de Sac), guitarist/vocalist Galen Baudhuin (The Seventh Circle), and drummer/vocalist Ardroth (Bothildir, Shadar Logoth) met with the desire to form a professional Black Metal band. Eventually Neutrino (Pillory, Virulence, Encrimson'd) stepped in on bass guitar to complete the final lineup and help Infera Bruo reach the realm of live performance.

With a vast array of influences and backgrounds ranging from post-punk to classical, Infera Bruo spent many months carefully crafting the pieces featured on their first self-titled release, which was self-recorded and mixed at a studio in Charlestown, MA by Baudhuin and Infera Bruo, and professionally mastered by Alan Douches of West West Side Music. Lyrical themes and topics explored include enlightenment, demonology, misanthropy, individuality, and history; yet Infera Bruo do not align themselves to any one ideology or philosophy.
