Biografia : Holy Moses

The legendary act Holy Moses was originally formed in 1980 by Ramon Bruessler and Jochen Fuenders, but the band started to really make headway within the German Thrash Metal scene a year later, when Sabina and Andy Classen joined the band. The three official demos, "Satan's Angel" (1981), "Walpurgisnight" (1984) and "The Bitch" (1985) made a huge impact within the global underground scene of those early days due to their savage musical attitude as well as the outstanding and super-brutal female vocals that Sabina provided, which lead to the fact that those tapes are still considered as cult collectors' items by many these days. Holy Moses quickly became famous and respected within the uprising brutal technical Thrash Metal scene with their masterful debut "Queen of siam" (1986), the total classic "Finished With The Dogs" (1987) and "The New Machine Of Liechtenstein" (1989). Holy Moses also gained a lot of additional recognition due to extensive touring activities with the likes D.R.I, Holy Terror, Sacred Reich, Forbidden, Artillery as well as many other and festival appearances on events like the Dynamo Open Air (1989). Holy Moses even managed to achieve the "impossible" by touring throughout East Germany in 1989, at a time when this part of the country wasn't yet accessible to tourists and outside visitors. 1989 also saw Holy Moses featured in the major German TV crime soap "Ein Fall für Zwei" and band-leader Sabina was also hosting the Heavy Metal show "Mosh" on the major TV channel RTL and she even remains an important national promotional activist for Metal these days by taking care of the Internet show www.bullet-tv.de. After all, Holy Moses officially broke up in 1992 (although they released their last album "No Matter What's The Cause" two years later) following various shuffled line-ups and releases on different labels. Still, until now, a devoted and very faithful amount of followers of the band as well as people from the media and promoters of major festivals had been attempting to talk the band into a comeback. However, it wasn't until late 2000 that Sabina Classen felt the time was getting right to get violent again with Holy Moses, when she found the suitable musicians to participate in their new set-up which would allow them to create some new, quality Thrash Metal material nearly two decades after she first got involved with the band. This "birthday" will soon be celebrated with live-shows all over the globe and with the release of the "Master Of Disaster" MCD which includes five brand new and extremely intense tracks which Sabina and Andy wrote and produced at Stage One Studio (Die Apokalyptischen Reiter, Krisiun, Ryker's, etc.). Get ready to face one of Germany's most original and heaviest bands ever this Summer all over Europe at your favourite festival location and obey these masters of disaster!
In October 2004 the band signed a new record deal with Armageddon Music.
