Biografia : Heulend Horn

Heulend Horn's story starts by 2002, when the only member of the band, Friedrich Curwenius, composed a complete full length far from the style of the music of his another project, called Mitternacht. This new album was entirely inspired but not copied in the work of Graveland, Lord Wind, Bergthron, Wyrd, Summoning and many others pagan and epic black bands.

Curwenius added to the guitar and the keyboards a concept, a story to be told along the CD. The guitar sound and the grim vocals prevaled in Heulend Horn's tracks, reaching epic black melodies and rhythms. The first album was then created.

The material was introduced, under the name of Heulend Horn, to Furias Records, who agreed to release it as soon as possible, with the title The Saga of the Draugr, with 5 songs and total time 47 minutes.

A session vocalist -Vargulf- was called to join recording trials, in order to perform the grim vocals. Further arrangements brought another session vocalist, Lord Edwar, who performed the very few clean voices along the CD. Eventually, the results showed that as a good decision.

The second release took a lot of time. The style keeps the same, but with more eastern europe ethnic instrumentation. However, despite the good result obtained after the composition of the CD (2004-2005), resources were run out for recording sessions. After another year, From the Caucasus to Gotland is released by December 2006.
