Gutiroth was formed in December 2006, the band name comes from joining two words, the surname of "Barn" (Gutierrez) from the word Walthari (Guerrero) and the plateau of Gorgoroth still south in Mordor (Tolkien ). This indicated that the whole atmosphere was created resided while the band. Gutiroth being as a result. With a proper meaning of this compound word, to make a project with new aesthetics, music broadcasting, and the concern expressed ideas.

However, the band plays a very particular genre within the Metal scene in Venezuela, literally has a concept focused solely towards nature, its musical feature is classified as black metal, but it takes many forms of musical expression drawn from a variety of genres.
