Biografia : Found My Direction

Found My Direction were a NCHC band that were formed in 1997.

Appealing to fans of the old school to the new, from the straight edge kids to the punks, FMD soon won over fans not only in Australia but throughout the world. 18 months, several line up changes (4 drummers, 2 guitarists) and plenty of shows later, they recorded their debut full length “Burn All White Flags” for Resist Records which was also released locally in the USA by 625 Productions.

In their 3 year history, they have shared the stage with the likes of Madball, Toe To Toe, Strife, Frenzal Rhomb, Voodoo Glow Skulls, Dropkick Murphys, 59 Times The Pain, Within Blood, No Grace, Balance, Fallout, 28 Days and Embodiment 12:14 as well as many other leading hardcore bands, played the Sydney Hardcore Superbowl and Melbourne's famous New Years Eve party at the Arthouse. FMD just replaced ex drummer Wayne with Brad (from Case For Jefferson) and are currently in the process of writing new songs for a 7' which will be recorded in late 2000 and released through Resist Records. In October guitarist Rod left the band also.

Released new ep The Path Remains in early 2001 with the now deleted 7” as a bonus. Then they did some cd launches that went down well and supported Shutdown in Sydney in April 2001. Unfortunately then somewhat out of the blue the band broke up as guitarist Nigel headed overseas for a year.
