This world is an evil place where bad things happen to good people, where nightmares do come true and monsters do live under your bed. And nothing this evil stays dead forever. After lying dormant for three long years, the U.S. Death Metal powerhouse, FLESHTIZED, has returned more powerful and devastating than ever before. Following five years of intense gigging and recording, FLESHTIZED was suddenly thrust into the underground limelight with the 2001 release of the cult classic “Here, Among Thorns.” Drawing comparisons to the likes of death metal legends Morbid Angel and Suffocation, this crushing and uncompromising album was met with critical and fan acclaim the world over. Unfortunately, their new found success came directly on the heels of the band's untimely and unexpected break-up. Since their inception, FLESHTIZED had been plagued by personnel problems. Finally, in the spring of 2001, just before “Thorns...” hit the streets, these conflicts reached the boiling point and FLESHTIZED was placed on indefinite hiatus.
After three years of silence, the time was right to resurrect the demon and breathe life back into the unholy creation that is FLESHTIZED. New major line up changes were made in hopes to rekindle the fire that once drove FLESHTIZED to the front of the pack of the late 90's and early 2000 Death metal scene. Fueled by a new desire to create uncompromising American death metal that was heavy, fast, technical and FUCKING all around BRUTAL. So the search began in late 2003 for the ultimate FLESHTIZED line up, one that would be capable of propelling the band to new levels of success.

The search now complete, Gary has been joined by phenon guitarist Sonny Lombardozzi (Seven Gates, Incantation), vocal monster Rob Kline (Pessimist, Psychotogen) and bass master Jason Flippo (Bloodstained Dusk, Quinta Essentia). The new FLESHTIZED line up is an all-star collection poised to change the face of the Death Metal Underground.

The initial screams of this unearthly beast were first heard on a chilly Saturday in February when the members of the newly reformed band converged at Soundworks Studio to record a couple of their favorite metal classics. Some of the new members were literally meeting for the first time ever in the studio parking lot! The songs “Together As One” by Death and “War Ensemble” by Slayer were selected for the metal feast. As FLESHTIZED began in 1996 playing songs by these two legendary bands, it seemed fitting that this new incarnation would recreate the early inspiration that eventually drove the band to create their own brand classic death metal. (Recording line-up: Garth Lovvorn, Gary White, Sonny Lombardozzi & Rob Kline)

With this initial “warm up” recording complete, the plan is now to feverishly begin work on the follow-up to “Here, Among Thorns” and to wreak havoc on as many stages as possible across the globe. If the intensity of early practice and writing sessions is any indication, the yet to be titles follow-up to “Thorns...” will instantly be heralded as a pure Death Metal Classic. In the meantime, the cover songs recorded in that initial session will make their way onto various tribute compilations as warning to the world that FLESHTIZED has indeed been resurrected, a beast more powerful and devastating than before. For the first time since April 2001, the monster that is FLESHTIZED will take the stage at the 2004 Maryland Death Fest.
