Biografia : Enemynside

Francesco Cremisini (current guitar and vocal) decided to start the band in 1994, after some years made up of concerts and rehearsals with many musicians. The first name of the band was Scapegoat; under this monicker they have released three demotapes, but only one of these tapes (Scars) is considered official at the moment:

-Home-Made -unofficial demo-tape 1995
Recorded in Francesco's room with a 4-tracks, a Marvin amplifier, a Metal Zone for the guitars & vocals, and in a rehearsal studio (only with panoramic mics!!) for the drum parts, this demo was released in very few copies all sold out at the concerts!!

-Home-Made 2 -unofficial demo-tape 1996
Recorded as a duo entirely in Francesco's room, with the same equipment of the previous tape, except for a special guest at drums: a drum-machine !!! Francesco & Luca Giovagnoli wanted to keep on playing and first of all looking for another drummer and a guitarist. The possibilities to find new musicians in Rome were so far for them after years of searches…….so they needed a break from it all, starting to plan a period somewhere abroad; but they also needed a new demo, recorded with more quality!! After planning a London departure for November 1996 , the duo had 5 months to prepare a demonstration tape, so during the summer Home-Made2 was born !!

-Scars -official demo-tape 1998
After the London experience, the band prepares another demo-tape entitled We Roam, that is an extract of 5 songs from Home-Made2. As Matteo Bellezza becomes the new guitar player, the band soon reissued We Roam calling it Scars, just re-recording the vocal lines and performing the solos of new guitarist Matteo. Scars has had about 1.000 tapes sold-out !!!

Here began one of the most important period for the band, since they had the opportunity to play some of the best live shows since the beginning, with some of the best drummers in Rome such as Roberto Pirami and Luca Iovieno.
The guys rocked, and the whole feeling was good together; but unfortunately after five rehearsals with the new line-up, and above all after 5 years in Scapegoat, Luca Giovagnoli (the bass player) announced the wish to leave the band for personal reasons and for musical divergences. However it came the time to build another demo destinated to magazines and labels, above all to find someone interested in the proposal; then after many requests, the demo was also sold at the concerts, and nowadays 1.200 copies have been sold.

-From The Cradle To The Way -demo-cd 1999
It was recorded in five days at the Temple of Noise studios in Rome with great feeling and attitude. The four songs contained in this demo-cd seemed to be a mixture of Francesco's and Matteo's ideas.

While preparing the cover artwork of the demo, Matteo & Francesco decided to change the monicker from Scapegoat to ENEMYNSIDE. This decision was mostly due to the several bands with this name, and also because Scapegoat has represented a period in the life of the band. With this new monicker, the group did its first tours around Italy in 1999, always receiving a great response from the fans.
In the meantime the auditions to find other musicians started since Luca definetly leaves the band, together with Roberto, after giving a great help for the live activity and for the demo From The Cradle To The Way. Former member of the epic metal act Savers, Alberto Sempreboni was chosen to become the new bass player for the future.
Moreover Enemynside signed an year long deal with Modern Music (a division of Noise Records), that aimed to promote the band selling mp3 of the songs included in the demo-cd From The Cradle To The Way.
On the other hand, Luca Iovieno was called again to do some rehearsals and to see if he could be the right drummer to record a promo-cd scheduled for February 2001, but he hasn't the right feeling for the new songs.
In those days the Enemynside started to play with Luca Marini, coming from the death metal band Chthonian Nemeton, and soon it revealed to be the right drummer that Enemynside were looking for.
On February 5-6-7/2001 with the new line-up the band has recorded a promo-cd at the Temple Of Noise studios of Rome.

-Violent Beats -promo-cd 2001
The promo contains 3 songs; beyond to being first destined to the labels to find a record deal, it has been also sent to the worldwide metal magazines.

With these new songs, after years of experience and concerts around Italy, the Enemynside have reached a record deal with TEMPLE OF NOISE Records that will allow the band to release their first full-lenght album due in June-July 2003.
