Embers From The Altar is a Western VA based band with members residing in the towns of Churchville, Millboro, Covington, and Clifton Forge, VA. The band was formed originally by drummer James Knopp(Ex-Datura, Ex-Exuro Dies, Ex-Face Against The Grindstone), guitarist Brad Camden(Ex-Datura, Ex-Exuro Dies), and vocalist Sketch Meeks(Ex-Face Against The Grindstone). They later picked up second guitarist Justin Hall, and bassist Carson Stokes. After word of mouth got around, producer Brian Bayliss eventually picked up on the group and agreed to record, sign, and press their debut release Interior of Your Anxiety on Icon Records set for release in Winter 2009. Many communication issues by phone and email between the band and Bayliss set back the album release amost a year after it was recorded. After personal disputes and mishaps, the band was forced to remove their founding guitarist Brad Camden from the fold. Fortunately, the spot was soon filled by guitarist Jimmy Slusser. After a big move to Illinois by Meeks, many problems surfaced that should have been addressed much earlier. Indefinitly EFTA has parted ways with him as he was replaced by new Lead Vocalist Sen Scorpious. Embers From The Altar is currently writing material for a new album.
