Eliphas Levi was formed in 1998 by Camus and Kyoka, that as soon invited Shuri and Gilles.

However this formation wouldn't continue for a long time, after they recorded the demo-tape "Marorii Jujin no Hiyakana Yokubou", Gilles left the band, being substituted by Kei.

In March they released the demo-tape "Zange no Asa ni" which drew attention of the label Enamell Records, as soon in July released their first mini-album "Rideru no Akai Mokimono".

Approximately 9 months later, after the release of the mini-album, they released "Tsumetai Atelier Majutsushi" and some months later, a box Eliphas Levi.
Some time later, rumors emerged that Kei would leave the band, what really happened, Kei left the band in 2000.

Trying keep on with the band, the rest of the members released a instrumental album called "Kuroshinkari", but unfortunately they disbanded after it.
