Biografia : Dreamgrave

In the beginning Dreamgrave was a Paradise Lost tribute initiative as an eternal desire of Dömötör Gyimesi. After he left his dying hardcore band rehearsals started with an initial lineup. The formation ran under names like "I Despair", later "Another Desire" thus venerate to fathers of gothic metal.

On the first rehearsals (November, 2006) the need for something new and honest has already been perceptible. In the meantime Zoltán Tamási came into the picture, brought the name and his original musical style. Not so long after his introduction he felt himself as the heart and composer of the band. The major goal was to do some gigs in no time, but unfortunately György Katkó (founder drummer) had to leave the band.

Even after a long and halting search for drummer and bass player the band couldn't find the right faces to fill in the gap. Therefore the summer passed away in silence without considerable results. The duo started to focus on an introductional demo while still knocking on musicians' doors.

Thanks to the persistent search several successful auditions were made. By this time the songs of the demo seemed to be evolved enough for a performance, rehearsals started to condense. The downturn of course was inevitable. As one of our friend stated: "God does everything to set you back." The actual lineup had only few month existence.

March, 2008: the band found the voice in Ildikó Farkas and Blanka Sütő. New era has begun with their join, era of more constructive vocals and performance. Unfortunately the rhythm section struggeled with the lack of a well qualified drummer and the bass player post was left unfilled, again. Due to this unbearable situation Zoltán decided to take over the drums. Keyboards exiled into the soullesness of a sampler.

August of 2008 was the date everybody was waited for: György managed to get back to Szeged, therefore the band, as a whole again, started to give concerts and record a six track demo. Not to forget Balázs Antunovics who joined to band with his progressive bass in the meanwhile.
