DISPATCHED hail from Gnesta, Sweden, and were originally formed during year 1991. In the early days there were lots of line-up changes in the band and the only one original member in the current line-up is the lead guitarist and song writer Daniel Lundberg. During the first few years the band made a couple of demos, mini-cd´s and played some gigs in Sweden. Musical style of the band has remained through out the years the very familiar melodic death metal.

In 1999 things started really rolling. In October, the guys entered the Abyss Studio with Tommy Tägtgren - two weeks were booked. Dispatched had already got offers from several record companies before the recording session, but stayed calm and didn´t sign anything. Now with a whole album in their back, they sent out a couple of copies to a few record companies again, to see the reaction. The reaction was amazing and Dispatched were offered many deals from different labels. Dispatched signed for Music For Nations in March 2000.

After successful debut album Dispatched went to the famous Studio Fredman in 3 weeks of April/May 2001 (to end the session just a day before the Gothenburg riots !!) to finally record the 2nd album of Dispatched. The working title of the album was Terrorizer and behind the knobs were Anders Fridén from In Flames. Somehow, neither party, the label or the band wasn´t satisfied with recording results and due to that fact DISPATCHED and Music For Nations decided to go on their separate ways.

Actual the fact is that absolutely killer album was never properly released, so finnish Rising Realm Records saw the chance there and contacted Music For Nations and got the rights of “Terrorizer” for worldwide territory. Label also took the mastertapes to Finnvox Studios and Mika Jussila used his “magic touch” and album received the sound and kick-ass atmosphere it was always needed. Terrorizer was finally finished in 2004 after as a 3 year project !!! DISPATCHED was splitted-up from 2002 till April 2004 due the incidents happened after Fredman recording sessions. But FINALLY 2004 Rising Realm Records ladsters found the way to turn their heads. Band signed two album deal in April 2004 with the label. New album (in order third) will be recorded early 2005 and release will be settled for Summer 2005. Terrorizer will be released in Japan by Soundholic CO. Ltd in July 21st 2004. European and other territories will follow. Beware !!!! DISPATCHED is back from the dead, stronger than ever !!!
