Biografia : Despoiler

Despoiler was founded in 2006 by Paul Kirby in Widnes, England. His plan was to make a band that would play heavy metal covers of lighter songs and to turn mass of lyrics he had wrote into proper music. Paul began learning guitar especially for the band with his friend Dennis Outten, co-founder of Despoiler to help teach him.
---
Soon the pair had began writing songs and needed to complete the band so Paul invited good friend and vocalist Jon Hughes to join the roster. Jon mentioned that his friend David Stoner was learning drums and so would join as a drummer and thus Despoiler was born.
---
The four practiced for a while, seeking out a bassist for the band until one day in a pub, Jon invited Ross Holman to join the roster. Ross happily accepted and was introduced to the band. Despoiler was complete.
---
The band were shortly asked to play a small gig at the college they practiced at which they hastily accepted. The performance that night was poor and highlighted major problems with the band, which would need correcting.
---
Soon after David Stoner was forced to leave the band because of a severe knee injury and Dennis Outten had to leave because of conflicts but these members were instantly replaced. Dennis Outten was replaced with Matthew Tobin and David Stoner was replaced with Carl Davies.
---
The band practiced every week in preparation for a gig they had managed to get at the Liverpool barfly. Two weeks before the gig, Paul contacted Carl as he felt more practice was needed to not make the mistakes they did at the first gig. Carl responded by informing the band he was unavailable to play because earlier in the year he had booked a holiday and would be away.
---
But all hope was not lost; Paul contacted his good friend drummer Kenn Rushworth and asked him if he could do the job. Kenn happily accepted and was practicing 15 minutes later. Kenn only had 4 practices with the band before the gig but impressively he managed to play excellently and write drums for all the songs. His place with the band was cemented and the new, better Despoiler was made.
