Biografia : Deanmoore

Deanmoore are an Dutch rock band from Lichtenvoorde, The Netherlands formed in 2007, consisting of Nils Wiegerinck (lead vocals, guitar), Arjen Stortelder (guitar), Harmen Stortelder (bass, backing vocals) and Roel Stoltenborg (drums, backing vocals).

While they were mostly considered as an emo band in their early years, their sound progressively evolved into something more complex and experimental, as a result they are often coined today as an alternative rock band. Deanmoore have always seemed more curious, more willing to incorporate traditionally revered sounds like pop and metal into their rock music.

The music is characterized by great dynamism, variation between heavy rock and quieter passages and many rhythm changes. Yet it doesn't sound strange or unexpected. Nils Wiegerinck : "The funny thing about writing songs is that when I come up with a guitar piece with a sudden rhythm at home, and while we're working out the song with the band it turns out the whole other way than I expected. We're experimenting alot while writing songs. Sometimes writing songs do indeed take a long time because of that, but when it's done we are mostly super excited."

Frontman Nils Wiegerinck, described as "A singer who's not afraid to give it all" has stolen many girl's hearts with his sexy looks. Nils Wiegerinck has cited Dennis Lyxzén, Toby Morrel and Dallas Green among his favorite singers, and beyond an occasional similarity in vocal technique, these singers’ sweeping sense of drama and delicate vulnerability is often evident in Nils Wiegerinck's vocals and has often been likened to that of Justin Pierre from Motion City Soundtrack.

Deanmoore has released two studio EP's as a band, all with the current line-up. The band records and releases their music through Diamond Bridge Music that was founded in 2006 by two band members Nils Wiegerinck and Arjen Stortelder; this was followed by their first release, the EP Everything Seems Familiar in 2009. On July 6th, 2010, Deanmoore released their second EP, titled The Storm Is Over. All the tracks where recorded, mixed and mastered by the band themselves. Both released EP's are available for free on their official website. In 2010 the radio stations 3FM, KinkFM and Radio 538 aired several songs of the bands latest EP The Storm Is Over.

In 2008, the band played at Paaspop Festival for about 2000 screaming fans, wet girls and their parents and played their first shows outside their country. Tha legendary Pimpmeister supports the band by being their mascotte and also appears as guest performer whenever he is sober. The band maintains a video diary on YouTube including studio reports, touring footage and of course tha Pimpmeister madness.
