Day of Execution is a death metal band from the city of Varna, Bulgaria. The band has gone through many lineup and style transformations throughout the years to reach its current state. It was originally formed by Borislav Borisov (Post Scriptum, Agonic Faint) – guitar, Alexander Donchev (Ablepsia) – drums, Mihail Jekov (Ablepsia) – bass and SvetoslavVasilev – vocals, who gathered in the end of 2005 with the idea of making brutal Brutal grind/death metal . Soon after that they came up with a name for the project – Reichsradio and started creating some extreme music.Mihail left due to personal matters, but that didn’t prevent them from recording a demo called “C.M.D.”,just a few months after the band was formed. Then Artyom Poniklev (Ablepsia)– guitar and Nikolai Bonev (Symbolic) – bass joined the band and in that lineup Reichsradio made their first ever live performance with Symbolic and Eufobia in Varna. Soon after that Borislav Borisov left and was replaced by Ivaylo Gradev (Ablepsia) on guitar.
During 2007 the band recorded the song “I Am” and made several live performances, mostly in their home city, where they became recognized as the most brutal and fast band ever to have been formed there. The style of the band was also developing through time, including more grind elements .After Decadence Fest 2007 Nikolai Bonev left the band and shortly after that Momchil Karamichev joined on his place. During 2008 Reichsradio made several live performances in Varna, Sofia and Burgas playing with bands like Enthrallment, Symbolic, The Revenge Project, Demogorgon (POL), Parricide (POL), Demenzia and others…
In the beginning of 2009 Reichsradio recorded the songs “Evil Dead Nemesis” and “The Lust” and shortly after Alexander Donchev and Artyom Poniklev left the band due to personal matters and musical differences. At that time it became clear that the band couldn’t continue without some radical changes and when Plamen Petkov (Brainstorm, Abaddon, Crystalnacht ) joined for playing the drums, it was decided not only that the style should be changed but the name of the band should also be different, because the grind influence was already gone during the years of development. So that is how Reichsradio became Day of Execution. The style changed to old school influenced death metal with much slower tempos but more catchy and more technical guitars, resulting in more memorable songs. After the first live performance of Day of Execution in May 2009 Ivaylo Mladenov (Ablepsia, Imperium Infernal) joined the band for playing second guitar and the current lineup was finally formed. Then the band made several live performances, including two concerts in Romania and taking part in East Noise Fest 5 in Varna.
Parallel with working on the recordings of the first album the band is also continuously creating new songs and playing live wherever and whenever possible. Day of Execution currently remains the only active death metal band in Varna and be sure that it will keep thrilling your ears andbreaking your necksin the future. The destruction continues…
And finally in the beginning of 2012 the band released their first album “Dead Burning to Ashes” via polish label “Brewery Prod”.
In 2013 the band signed a contract with Canadian Mulligore Productions and the “Pointless Cause” EP was released. During that time the band continued to play live and to compose new material for its next release.

It was the end of 2015 when new recording session was started. A long process lasting almost three years. In the beginning of 2018 Day Of Execution signed with German Neckbreaker Records to release their second album entitled “Inevitable End” – ten tracks of neckbreaking old school death metal.
