Greece introduces to the new musical era of the 21st century the musician, composer and co-founder of Septicflesh Christos Antoniou. After twenty years of unstoppable work on music, we can proudly say that the world of concert and metal music scene salutes a gifted composer who established as his trademark the explosive combination of extreme elements from both worlds metal and modern music.

Christos studied composition at the London College of Music under the guidance of Martin Ellerby, Head of Composition department. Acquiring his Bachelor of Music in 1999.
He continues his studies in Composition/Orchestration earning his Master’s Degree in Concert Music. Adam Gorb, Head of composition in Royal Northern College of Music is now among his tutors. In the same year, he is awarded with the Howard Goodall 1st Composition Award of London College of Music. He is also holder of Diplomas in Harmony, Counterpoint, Fugue and Composition with distinction.

The impatient musical spirit of Christos, is now more vivid than ever before and creates music for the highly acclaimed band Septicflesh. Christos is one of the founder members of Septicflesh,
a band having a strong presence in discography since 1993. Septicflesh managed to combine various styles of rock, such as gothic /death/black metal, with melodies and “classical” elements, which made them well renowned in the underground scene. The exceptional moment for Christos and his band comes when they tour all over the world with some of the biggest bands of the metal idiom.

The penetrating and the virtuosing sound that Christos creates nourished the idea of giving birth to another musical side project Chaostar. Throughout his four albums with Chaostar and his concert works he achieves a distinctive musical language that reassures his title as pioneer in the Greek Metal scene, for he has the talent to add his “classical” and heavy-rock influences in his works.

He held for six years the position of the exclusive composer of UTV/Digi-Guys a 3D company in Ealing Studios, London.

He is also the owner with Fotis Benardo (Septicflesh) of Devasoundz studio based in Athens.

His future works include the creation of the new albums for Septicflesh and Chaostar. Aiming to high Christos now is inspired by the Greek Tragedy “Medea” for Chaostar and he is working on a concert piece “Antigone” which will combine the modern sound with the Ancient Greek language.
