In the summer of 2007 Madde, Ingo and Alex got together for a jam session on a few songs that Madde had written in advance. It went really well and the three decided to continue. After a few unsuccessful bass player try-outs Ingo's disgustingly talented little brother Erik joined on bass, and the band started to try out singers. And there he was. All the way from Boden in the north of Sweden he came, right in to everyones' hearts. He growled the socks off of the band and got the lead singer position in an instant! After a while things didn't work out with Alex the way the band wanted it to. They decided that it was best to continue without him and so they did. Now, a couple of months later, they have had five gigs and more to come, and the future is looking bright for the melodic death metal band Beyond Obscurity.
