Biografia : Alignak

In Inuit mythology, "Alignak" is a lunar deity and god of weather, water, tides, eclipses and earthquakes. God of the moon and very similar to One of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, the Lord of the Storms. This comes from the lore of the early native American tribes from Alaska. That is in essence what we try to summon through the music this band creates. As the story starts these are the key points Necrovore tried to embody in the proto-demo "1000 Years of Suffering".
After that demo in late 2003 Necrovore started playing guitar with a local NC Black/Death Metal band 'Gulgatha'. Long time comrade Og started playing bass with 'Gulgatha', and thus 'Alignak' started to take form with Og & Necrovore collaborating again. Growing bored with 'Gulgatha' Og & Necrovore create 'Alignak's first true demo, early 2004's "River Of Blood". By the time "True Evil" came out Og was starting to grow uneasy playing in 'Gulgatha'. Og's exodus from 'Gulgatha' came shortly after the release of 'Alignak's, "Blood & Black Magik". Necrovore followed in suit after the release of "Mainlining Goats Blood". After 'Gulgatha' broke up, Justin brought his vocals to 'SutureSelf', Chris the drummer went on to 'Volsung', then Ben & Jason went onto record music as 'Do What thou Wilt'.
Those couple of years of madness involved balancing playing in 2 bands, family issues of Og, Necrovore being stranded homeless and a common friend of theirs dieing of an overdose. In light of all of the events 'Alignak' still grew stronger and Og & Necrovore's knowledge grew on all fronts, musically, ideological, historically and magically in a very shamanistic way. After these events Daniel stepped in on drums for the recording of "Tales of Maddness from Beyond the Labyrinth of Hate".
In October of 2006 Og & Necrovre became more focused on a blaring hateful collection of metal hymn's that was entitled, "Murder, Music, Magik, Medicine, Madness". Come 2007 there is very Sigh and Doom influenced recordings that are not going to be released on a CD. However they will play a major part in Og's first independent slasher film 'Vengeance'. Daniel now is our full-time drummer. In 2008 'Trippin Hippie Records' has released a split CD featuring 'Cuntworm' & 'Dead Mountain' along side 'Alignak'. The CD features 6 songs from 'Alignak' with Necrovore on Vox, Gtr & Synth, then Og on Gtr, and Daniel on drums.
