Our concept comes from 2002 when Jerry Báez (keyboards) and Luis M. Muñoz (guitars) formed the instrumental band Chronophobia, with Jorge Arroyo on guitars, Miguel Rivas on Bass guitars and Yaser Rios on drums. In 2003 Chronophobia won 1st prize on a local Talent Show. In that same year Chronophobia parts away because of academic issues. In 2004 Jerry had the idea of re-group the band again, but the availability of some members force the band to look for a new bass player and a drummer. There is where Henry Baez (Jerry's brother) and Carlos Calderon joined the band. Later on the band started to look for a singer. Luis founded Rafael Rodriguez. So then the members decided to change the name of the band. There is when Alchemysteria was born. Later on the Rafael decided to leave the band and months later Roberto Irizarry joined the band and kept evolving. In May 2008, Roby wasn't able to continue his position in the band due to his graduate studies occupying too much of his time. Then we met Joel "Power" Rivera (singer of Altazor) and he said that he was interested on covering the singer's position. In his audition, we were very surprised by his incredible tonal range and we decided to made him the official new singer of Alchemysteria.
