Aghast a dark ambient band created by the wives of two known black-metalists.

1. Nebel (or Andrea Haugen) was the wife of Samoth (or Thomas Thormodsaeter Haugen) of Emperor.

2. Nacht (or Tanja Stene) was a wife of Fenriz (or Gylve Nagell)of Darkthrone

Aghast had released the album named "Hexerei Im Zwielicht Der Finsternis" released in 1995 by well known dark ambient label Cold Meat Industry, and then each of the band members had their own way in life.

The Aghast was a start of a musical carrier for one member of a group, and the end for another.

After her participation in the Aghast project Andrea had become a well know Scandinavia pagan expert and had formed a folk band Hagalaz' Runedance. After releasing 4 albums Andrea moved on and had released another album under her own name, Nebelhexe that had more gothic influece, compared to Hagalaz' Runedance.

Tanja hadn't released much during last 12 years. Mainly she was composing music in a "Create-and-destroy" way. So after Aghast only two tracks created by Tanja, were released. Both of them were presented on CMI compilations. The head of Cold Meat Industries label Roger Karmannik promised to release an album of Nacht in near future.

He made this promise in 2002, and till 2006 no music of created by Tanja was released as a full album.

Though she has participated to a 4 way split release called "Serene Moments" along with Northaunt, Shinjuku Thief and Umbra . She also did vocal appearance on Northaunt's The Ominous Silence album . ..
