Biografia : Aeon (SWE)

The swedish death metal band (based in Hultsfred) Absurdeity first began their musical practise within the art of death in the spring/summer of 2002 (after rising from the ashes of the more black-metal oriented "Mysterion", founded may 2000 with the demo "Hymns to armageddon" and a handful of gigs as their only marks in history), after the recording of the demo "Onslaught of the undead", made during the transition from Mysterion to Absurdeity. The line-up at the point was:

Lars Broddesson - Drums, Vocals
Gabriel Jensen - Guitars (also original Mysterion member)
Robert Johansson - Guitars
Benny Åkesson - Bass, Vocals

The band had a few gigs, for example at the Hultsfred festival in 2002, (however under the name Mysterion) but soon began having difficulties with members quitting. First to go was Benny, who was replaced by the moviefanatic Marcus Fahleryd. As the music grew more brutal and less melodic Gabriel left the band in the autumn of 2003, leaving the band one guitarist short. However, this didn't stop Absurdeity from excercising their art.
In the winter of 2003 they entered the studio to record 15 new songs which resulted in the "Enter necrosis" demo, taking the band in a more brutal direction. The line-up on this demo was:

Lars Broddesson - Drums, Vocals, Guitars
Robert Johansson - Guitars, Vocals
Marcus Fahleryd - Bass, Vocals

In the spring of 2004 Marcus decided to move due to a work opportunity, and was quickly replaced by Gustav Helge on bass, who decided to pass the vocals to Laban and Robert. Shortly after, Johan Andersson (who founded Mysterion along with Gabriel, but quit in late 2001) joined Absurdeity on lead vocals, leaving the others as backup vocalists. Eventually Gustav lost his interest and quit the band. This did not keep the band from making high quality death metal songs. A couple of months of rehearsing followed, and in early 2005 Absurdeity once again entered the studio to record nine new songs. Three of these ended up on the self titled, third and latest demo, which proved their vitality and constantly improving songwriting skills once more. All throughout their career Absurdeity has put an honour to including many aspects of music to add some groove and finesse and creating a somewhat own sound, but never to compromise with the most important musical ingredients: Raw brutality, speed and heaviness. Lyrical topics concerns most death related subjects, misery, violence, dark mythology, occultism, satanism, anti-christianity, insanity, darkness, diseases and much more, often in a serious and sometimes poetic manner.
