Ænimus is a heavy-metal band with thrash-influences from Skellefteå, Sweden. In the summer of 2009 Adam Forsberg, Christoffer Weidersjö and Fredrik Eriksson started to talk about starting a new band together after playing in various bands and constellations together for several years. It was simply time for something new, fresh and inspirational. This is where Ænimus first seed was sown. The only problem was the lack of a singer and lead guitarist. The guys asked around and put out ads on the internet and after awhile some singers responded. So they started auditioning some singers and they decided on Anders Sevdin, whom also could play the leads! So they started writing and rehearsing and after about 5 months they started gigging and recorded their first demo. Then spring and summer came along and they continued to gig and rehearse ‘til the cold winter when they started record an EP which they released in March 2011. During the time around the release of the Ep "Four Perspectives On Death, Adam decided to leave the band, so, Ænimus started to look around for a new bassplayer! And after a few weeks, Joel Nilsson joined Ænimus! Sadly, in the beginning of 2012 Joel left Ænimus! We started to look for a new bassplayer, but it was hard to find someone that fitted us. So we decided that Anders would take over the bassguitar and started looking for a new lead-guitarist! And after some auditioning, we found Roberto Ramos, and he joined Ænimus! ..
