Adorned Brood was formed in 1993 by Ariovist and Oberon. Back then the band was called Agent Orange. In the end of 1993 Frost (bass) and vocalist Klaus joined the band. In 1994 they recorded their first 4-track demo called "Phobos / Deimos" which was more death metal oriented. As the vocalist left the band, Frost took over the vocals and at the beginning of 1995 also a second guitarist Pagan joined the band which changed their name into Adorned Brood. In the same year they recorded another demo called "Wapen". Shortly after this, in early 1996, Ingeborg Anna joined on flutes and some months later they signed to Folter Records to record their debut "Hiltia" which was also released in 1996. In 1997 they signed to Atmosfear Records and before the recordings of their second album "Wigand" started, guitarist Oberon left the band and was replaced by Widar (Andreas). Later, in August 1997, they went to studio again to record "Wigard" which was released in early 1998 and ! only 1000 copies were sold. After this, drummer Ariovist also left the band and new drummer Flajar (Tim) joined Adorned Brood. Later they signed to Invasion Records and during the recording of the third album "Asgard", their label Invasion Records disappeared and finally they were signed to Moonstorm Records. "Asgard" was released in 2000 and gained lots of positive response. Afterwards they went on tour with Subway to Sally and played on several German festivals. In 2001, guitarist Pagan left the band and Benjamin took this place. So they started recording their fourth album "Erdenkraft" which was released in early 2002. In 2003 they celebrated their 10th anniversairy in Düsseldorf (Germany) and some time later guitarist Andreas left the band to be replaced with Thorsten who joined in January 2004.
