Biografia : Abaxial

This thrash metal band was founded in 1988. Abaxial is a mathematical term that means "outside of the axis".
After six years playing all along Buenos Aires and cities of the countryside, the band release its first independent EP, Neo-Drama (1992). Neo-Drama was released in an english and a spanish version.

August 1994, the band release its first and only LP, Samsara, 9 songs recorded at C.A.B. studios sited at Buenos Aires and mastered by Eduardo Bergallo (known for his work with Soda Stereo). Along the years, Samsara became a cult piece for the argentinian metal escene and some european metal escenes too.

In May 1995 one of the most important moments for the band was opening for the american band Body Count at Obras Sanitarias Stadium playing for 6500 people.
From this show the band made its first videoclip for the song 206 bones (from its LP Samsara). It has some diffusion in international music channels as Much Music and MTV.

In 1996, the band release its last EP, Calibre, as always with his own production. A few months later the band finally split up.

After Abaxial´s dissolution, the popularity of the band increased. As themselves say, “in the under scene, and specially in the european under scene there is some demand for the band material, we believe maybe it´s because at its moment we sent a lot of material to magazines, fanzines, labels, etc."
