Massachusetts has been responsible for producing many bands (Shadows Fall, Killswitch Engage, Beyond the Embrace, All That Remains) that have given the once doomed to be American Metal scene some new life. A Cold Reality is yet another breathe of fresh air for American Metal. ACR's music is filled with subtance and power. ACR's dyanamic apporoach to writing music has gotten critical praise and a fan following in Massachusetts. ACR takes pride in its dynamic song writing, in which songs can go from being heavily brutal to downright easy to listen to. ACR is usually described as a Melodic Death/Thrash band, but don't let that definition fool you, there is a lot more to ACR's music due to the fact that the band is not afraid to stretch musical boundaries
