Nathan began his drumming career as a founding member of rock metal/death metal band Slitsoul in Penticton in 2000. Slitsoul has released 5 independent studio albums. He moved to Hamilton in 2008 and began rock metal band Toxic Valve as singer and guitarist. Toxic Valve has released 3 independent studio albums. In 2012 he formed Death Perception, a modern death metal band. Death Perception released 2 independent studio albums and a third album, "Ashes" under the Wormholedeath (Italy) label in 2021. Currently Slitsoul is on hiatus, only performing select shows, the last one being in 2015 for the 15 year anniversary at Armstrong Metal Fest. Toxic Valve has recorded a new yet-to-be-released album and is currently still performing regularly in the Hamilton area (2021).
