Math was born in Ypres (Belgium) on June 18, 1981. He was an early music lover (as well as a soccer, cartoon and filmfan!), but when he started taking sax-lessons at the age of 9, he had a constant quarrel with his music teacher. His grades were inferior and so he stopped visiting the music academy. At the age of 14, he became fascinated by Metallica (in particular their early work) and some other metalbands. He started to play electric guitar with some friends (among which Phil). After a while he decided to change his six-string for a four-string and he also started doing vocals in a band together with Phil and Idea.
At the moment Math lives at home in Ypres and in Ghent where he's in lawschool.

Math dreams of an international reputation for the band, although this seems to him quita a heavy task for a Belgian metalband.

Bands he loves are Testament, Moonspell, Channel Zero in their early days and Dream Theater. Next to that he admires Metallica and he's fond of Dire Strais, in his opinion one of the most brilliant bands in history. He respects Jason Newsted (Metallica) for his image and his way of performing, Phil Anselmo (Pantera), Fernando Ribeiro (Moonspell) and Franky (Channel Zero) for their magnificent voice.
