László was born on March 30, 1969, in Budapest, Hungary. He fell in love with the drums at the age of 10. He saw the Solti-Mereczky duo playing drums on TV and decided he wanted to be a drummer. It was about then that he saw the Beatles film, which reinforced his decision. However, lack of drum kit meant that he only seriously started drumming when he was 16. Until then, he learnt to play the cithern, and experimented with various percussion instruments.

In the beginning he mainly listened to Hungarian rock music. Later influences include AC/DC, Iron Maiden, and Judas Priest.
Drummers he looks up to include Deen Castronovo, Steve Smith, Simon Philips, Gregg Bisonette, Omar Hakim, and Akira Jimbo.

Practising every day is very important to László. That's when he gets his best musical ideas. He believes that regularity and consciousness are the essence of practice. He is a full time musician, however he is also a qualified machine designer (just like Zoltán Fábián!).
