Thrash/Death metal band from Netherlands strikes with the energy of good metal right from the first song “The End Stars Here”. The second Fuelblooded’s album “Off the Face of the Earth” sounds very masterfully and confidently. It’s obvious that this band is not the first for its members; they had their time to polish their skills.

I doubt that Fuelblooded is unique band like they have written in their biography. If you are into this genre you surely will find some moments similar to the music of other bands. But I should admit that the band absolutely right in other statements: they actually have interesting solos, verses and choruses, good structure of the songs, variety. Musicians easily and naturally combine melodic elements with hard drumming and fast parts, clean vocals and growling. They have midtempo parts to give some rest to a listener and nice rhythms. This variety allows Fuelblooded to make some songs over 7 minutes long, and you even won’t notice that it’s so long because even the thought that long Thrash metal song can be boring can’t visit you. On the contrary, in the end of the album you suddenly notice that the music is over though you could listen at least an hour more.

Off the Face of the Earth” contains 9 songs. The opening “The End Stars Here” is bright, emotional and sharp, it shows at once the style and skills of the band. It’s fast and intense song with two solos. The second “Discounted Dormancy” deepens the impression and gives more of fine guitar work; it passes in one breath. “When Passion Dies” is not so fast in the beginning and has some great short passages among the fast drumming and riffs, but solo is not that interesting here. “Recipe for Demise” has amazing rhythms and drumming and some orient melodies in clean vocals. This kind of special feeling, sincerity and mystic atmosphere is kept in the beginning of “The Cult of Ego”, which softly appears from nowhere and turns out to fury and hard song. The title song has a remarkable intro with incredible mix of melody and rhythmic pattern and very expressive midtempo verse. It releases into furious and massive wall of death metal for a while and returns to that tunes of the intro… Powerful and dramatic piece. It’s followed by short midtempo and solid “The Wrath of A’ath” without any vocals, only with this amazing guitar work again. Two last songs are also worth attention but it would take too much space and time to describe every good passage on this album. It’s better to listen.
