Japanese steampunk metal band Iron Roses have released their new full-length album “The Last Lantern” on January 16, 2026.



Conceived as a concept album, The Last Lantern tells a tragic folklore-inspired story centered on a young woman named Ayame and a mysterious mountain spirit, Kaito, exploring themes of fate, sacrifice, and forbidden connection. The record blends the band’s melodic Heavy Metal foundation with atmospheric and cinematic elements, while keeping a strong focus on traditional metal instrumentation.



The Last Lantern is available now in digital format and on physical editions, marking Iron Roses’ first fully narrative-driven release and their most ambitious work to date.
