Abiotic qui avait sorti 2 albums chez Metal Blade records en 2012 et 2015, revient via The Artisan Era, le 12 février 2021 avec "Ikigai".


Ikigai accueille plusieurs invités dont la chanteuse Chaney Crabb (Entheos), les chanteurs Trevor Strnad (The Black Dahlia Murder) et Jonathan Carpenter (ex-The Contortionist), le guitariste Brandon Ellis (The Black Dahlia Murder), le bassiste Jared Smith (Archspire) et le guitariste Scott Carstairs (Fallujah).
