1. Hi, first, thank you for answering this interview. Could you start it with a little history of the group ?
We formed the band in 2000. Recorded a demo and we were picked up by Moonfog. Released 2 albums with them. 3 third album was released by Candlelight and now we are sign to Tabu. 4th album « krek » will be released 10 okt. We have toured Europe and Norway a couple of times and been nominated for best album with « Phantom » and « Mørke gravers kammer ».

2. « Krek » is your fourth album, in which way it is different of the last ones ?
More things are happening on the album. We also got a more raw sound.

3. Are you personnally entirely satisfied with it or would you like to change something ?
I\'m satisfied with the album. I think it is the best Khold album so far.

4. Can you explain

to us the concept of the album (if there is one) and the meaning of the title?
It\'s not a concept album. A « Krek » is a poor creature, in this case someone abandoned, forsaken and forgotten.

5. How would you describe your music and your musical style to your future listeners?
We play mid tempo black metal, with a clean, heavy, raw sound. Only drums, guitars, bass and vocal. No synth, effects or trigging. We have our own style within the BM scene

6. What are your influences ?
Dark paintings and lyrics.

7. Are your lyrics always in old Norwegian and always written by Hildr, « the fifth ghost member » of the band ?
Yes, I will say so. Very inportant for Khold. She brings inspiration to make dark music.

8. What do you think of the metal scene in your country ? Nowadays, is it hard

to record a full-length album or to do gigs ?
No, it\'s ok. The scene here in Norway is good.

9. Will french fans get the chance to see you on stages soon ?
Yes, hope so. We are working on a European tour these days and France is on the list.

10. Do you know/appreciate french bands ?
Sorry, I don\'t know the french scene so well.

11. Do you have any others projects or are you involved in others bands ?
No, just Khold for everybody!

12. Could you explain to us your vision of the metal, what does mean this music for you ? Any message to spread ?
It\'s good for me to make dark, cold music. It\'s good to be able to create something.
