This is what was supposed to be Slipknot's second album. Recording began in late May 1997, after replacing Donnie Steele with Mick Thomson and the addition of Craig Jones (2). Initially comprised of 13 songs, some of them being new versions of older songs, the album was scheduled for release in late summer 1997.

Track 6 contains a typo, the actual title is "Prosthetics".
