The story begins with four friends who started a death metal band called “Skin Coffin”.
After 1,5 years, Remco and Thomas started a hardcore/metalcore side-project called “Strike it down”. After the line-up was complete by finding vocals (Mike), bass (Robin) and rhythm guitar (Kick), they’ve decided to fully focus on Strike It Down. Therefore, Skin Coffin was disbanded.

The bandname changed to “The Machete Massacre”, shortly after Mike left the band and was replaced by former Like Fire vocalist Mick.

Combining the intensity of death metal with the groove and fury of hardcore and thrash The Machete Massacre recorded their first demo: Hanging From The Gallows, which was well received by fans and critics alike.
After the recordings, Kick and Remco were no longer active band members. Remco was replaced by Void of Empathy drummer John and the band decided to continue as a fourpiece.

The Machete Massacre now consists of Thomas (lead guitar) , Robin (bass) Mick (vocals) and John (drums).

Two years have passed.
The Machete Massacre played numerous venues, increasing their reputation. This led to a booking contract with Metal Music Agency.
The recording of a new EP has been scheduled for July, which demonstrates The Machete Massacre’s new sound: technical, brutal and more melodic.
With their mind focused on writing new material and recording the new EP, The Machete Massacre will play several gigs during the months to come.
