The Blythe is a deathcore band from Huntington Beach, California. They were originally called Frances Ethel when they released their first demo Alive Black Sky. The band formed after several members previous band The Apostles Have Risen broke up. Kaelo James and Michael Rodriguez-Lopez are also currently members of progressive metal outfit A Trust among Dead. James Keach is also currently a member of the grindcore band Wings Never Shattered. John Martini, who joined The Blythe prior to the recording of "And Their Hands Blessed Us," also played in Wings Never Shattered, but left the band in 2007. He was replaced in WNS by Michael Morris in October of 2007.
