The band was created in Jan 2000 with the name Stigmata...

The members back then were Niklas Svensson, Tobias Olsson and Johan Blomstrom. In June 2000 the recording of the first demo, "Painreceiver", started and the band got two new members Christoffer Nilsson (drums) and Annika Haptén (Vocals).

Later this summer, Staffan Franzén got the job as bassplayer. After the recording of the demo, they did some gigs, but none of the members really cared about the band. Due to lack of interest the band was put on ice...

Six months after not rehearsing at all, the drummer Christoffer decided to leave the band. Staffan then made the decision of changing from bass to drums. When this happend, Johan and Tobias started to make new riffs again. They got a new bassplayer, Roy Erlandsson. After the reconstruction of the band, Annika had to leave Stigmata since the change of musicstyle, there was simply no room for female vocals.

In 2002 "Tribute to Chaos" was released, their second demo-cd. Here is where the band did a huge step into the metalscene! This cd opened up the whole world ! Scarlet Records got so excited that they chose to sign the band.

At this time they were forced to change name (Stigmata was already taken). The band together with the label decided to change it into Blinded Colony and started the recording sessions of their debut album "Divine". With the energetic mastering done by Goran Finnberg at Mastering Room the songs sounds so fuckin´ heavy and in your face, massive riffs and aggressive vocals are perfectly balanced with melodic chorus and fine arrangements. This incredible act is able to forge a personal sound mixing the modern "swedish sound" (Soilwork, Arch Enemy, In Flames) and thrash classics !

"Divine" already excited labels outside Europe, in Japan it will be released through Soundholic with 2 bonus track taken from their demo "Tribute To Chaos" and we´re currently dealing for license-deal in North America.
