Biografia : Silence (ITA-1)

Silence started their activity in April 2000, from the merging of Casafusa (metal band with hardcore influence) and Insanya (thrash metal band). At he beginning band was composed by Alessandro Schettino (electric guitar), Matteo Businaro (bass guitar), Marco DeLuca (drums) and Danny Glick (lead singer).
After few months, playing Iron Maiden's and Europe's covers, the four started to write their own songs and rearranged two of Casafusa old tracks.
In the same period was chosen the name: SILENCE.

2001: Fabio Cavestro became member of the band.

Silence start up with several gigs around the north of Italy, with a good feedback from the audience.
The band was on studio on july 2002 to record their first official demo CD: "Call My Name".
The Cd presentation took place on 19th December 2002 at Midnight Pub in Milan, and the audience response was enthusiastic as always.

In 2003 Silence was ever on stage.
Between 2000 and 2003 SILENCE plays on 45 gigs.

In May they were invited to take part in a big festival called Meeting del Mare, Camerota, Salerno.
The headliners were Articolo 31. Silence were the only heavy metal band on stage.
In the following months their live activity kept regular and SILENCE played all around their Region, but in March 2004 there came some internal problems, which eventually led the band to split from their drummer Lugh.

Two of three dates which followed the split were covered by Mario Giannini, who helped the band.

Around the end of April, Alessandro 'Rullo' Durini came in touch with Silence and in May he joined the band.

With the line up finally completed, the band was once again invited to play at the Meeting del Mare playing in front of 20.000 people and opening for Caparezza.

2005 and 2006 were completely dedicated to re-arrange the songs that will be in their first album.

2007 are a particularly intense year for the band that sees them entire engages to the realization of the full length album near the Moonhouse Studios in Milan.
In the mean time Danny Glick left SILENCE, so all vocal part of the album is going to be recorded by Alessandro Schettino.
