Sedative was founded in spring time of 2007 in Essen, Germany. After a couple of try-outs the full line up was sworn in. Starting out as a melodic death metal combo the band has quickly evolved to a modern death metal squad which fans of The Black Dahlia Murder, Lamb of God, DevilDriver, and/or Fear my Thoughts might enjoy. Sophisticated guitarwork driven by painfully fast drums and filled-with-hate screams blow apart whatever venue they hit. The aggressiveness of their songs, the attitude they perform them with and the atypical lyrics make Sedative a band to be prepared for.

The band will record their first demo album in May/June, featuring the four songs Deathpriest, God of Light, Clod, and March Of The Wounded.
