After some years learning to play their respective instruments and creating some musical projects without major relevance, a group of childhood friends from the Talagante commune, in the year 2000, decide to come together again to see how to manage the cravings of forming a group and creating original compositions. In this way, Alexis Gutiérrez (bass), Juan Drey (guitar) and José Gallardo (guitar) without many expectations begin to come together again, taking out covers without some fixed creative direction, until Juan meets Sergio Carlini, a drummer from Santiago, which with the same impetus and eagerness to play, does not hesitate to quickly integrate into this project in diapers. From the first second, the project began to function naturally and fluidly, given the musical and human cohesion of these four boys.

This is how Ruins of Agony was born, under the rigor of extensive rehearsals and the desire to perfect and polish a sound as a band. Once this first goal is achieved, they are presented for the first time as a quartet with a setlist based on covers. Soon the first original compositions begin, and in parallel to this an old friend, Daniel Pérez, who would take care of the vocals in the band is invited. These factors gave the final form of quintet to the group, beginning a neat period of compositions and some live presentations, mainly in the commune of El Monte, Talagante and Isla de Maipo, which would cover the years 2000, 2001 and part of 2002. It is in this year, due to internal and external factors, that Ruins of Agony ceases its activities without leaving officially recorded material, except for some models and video and audio records of some presentations. The band dissolves, leaving an important legacy for each of its members, which have continued to be linked to music, either in large and medium-sized projects or for the sole pleasure of making music, in addition to maintaining a friendship of immovable years.

During these years of silence, there was always some conversation to see how feasible it was to revive Ruins of Agony in some way, it is not until mid-2018, after 17 years that the possibility of reuniting the band is discussed more seriously and in what possible to create some record. However, luck would not be in favor by truncating the meeting again, Ruins of Agony would not have Sergio, nor Alexis due to time issues. Even with these factors against, Juan, José and Daniel decide to make a small demo by rescuing the first two themes created by the band plus a new composition and another based on another old record. In this way, this demo composed of 4 themes comes to light, as a way to relive old desires that were always present.
