Biografia : Ruins (AUS)

Ideas for forming Ruins were first theoretically formed before the year 2000, at the dawn of this millenium so to speak. The actual culmination of Ruins begins sometimes troughout 2002, at this point both Alex and Dave rehearse fairly constantly for a few months assembling songs which are recorded for demo'ing purposes in late 2003.

Not more than 25 promotional copies were send out to friends and labels, and one instance of this promo ended up at Blacktalon Media (Astriaal, Portal) who quickly released this material plus the instrumental outro "Lightless" together as the "Atom and Time" CD during July 2004. This releasedate also corresponded with Blacktalon Media's "Legions - Opening Of The Southern Gate" 2CD compilation which featured the Ruins track "Desolation".

Meanwhile Ruins now had enough music to constitute what will be their debut full lengt album. Near the end of 2004 Ruins entered the Red Planet studios and recorded the drum tracks of this new album, and as of now all other tracking has been done by the hands of Joe Haley.

The album will be called "Spun Forth As Dark Nets" and has recently been released by Neurotic Records and has been mastered by none less than Tue Madsen (Mnemic, Aborted, The Hauntd, a.o.).
