The band was created by Marcello Schirru in the end of '90. He started with some friends the typical routine, like every young band does, playing in clubs, parties and studying a lot in rehearsal rooms, until getting bigger engages, like playing as support act for some big italian bands (EXTREMA, LACUNA COIL, SADIST).

In this period the first act of the band closed : as Marcello wanted to get more success with the band, the other members decided to leave the band to follow their own way. In the summer of 2003, Reel Fiction restarted with a new line-up. After some months they recorded, a new demo cd "Get On", and began to play live, more than ever.

In September 2003, they played as support band for SHANDONs' concert in Sardinia and (after a long period of interviews, live shows and good reviews), on July 2004, the band opened the Sardinian concert of CHILDREN OF BODOM and HELLOWEEN for the Steel Day.

August 2004 : Reel Fiction won Tim Tour contest in Cagliari, this allowed them to play live in September at Piazza del Duomo in Milano. The band took part on Rock TV programs like DATABASE, SALA PROVE and played live at ROCK TV TOUR. Thanks to the Steel Day's experience, Reel Fiction got in touch with HELLOWEEN, in particular with the guitarist Sascha Gerstner. He listened to the pre-productions of the band, really liked the songs, and proposed them to record in his studios in Germany the new EP Transfer, released in 2006 getting a good success. In July, they took part once again on the Tim Tour winning for the second time participation in the final in Torino and the programmes of Rock Tv.

On 2007/2008, they takes a videoclip with the TERZO MILLENNIO PRODUCTIONS for the song “BELIEVE IN NOTHING” content in the new promo CD “...believe?”. STAY TUNED !
