Biografia : Quietus (ISR)

"Quietus" the Goth/Doom metal band from Israel was formed by two school friends: Yotam Dalal and Shai Flum In August 2006.
Already by the time of May 2006 during the school period the idea of cooperating in a musical project was brought up.The concept for this project was an old poem named "Be Ir Ha Hariga"(In The City of Death) by the famous jewish poet Haim Nachman Bialik (Israel national poet). The poem deals with the riots of kishinev, Russia which took place at the year 1903 and involved the injuring and slaughtering of hundreds of Jewish citizens.
The duo related with the poem and its context and decided that it best suits the musical genre of Doom/Goth metal.
The actual work on the album began by the time of August 2006 after finishing school and taking some time off to enjoy the break. The two were determined to write new material and finish the album before being recruited to the army.
After 6 months of writing, over one hour of material were produced. After a while of setting up the two stood against all odds and managed to finish the recording of the album "Genocide: Tragedy In Red", with the amazing violin performances of Anatoli Zeltzer, by the time of August 2007.
A couple of months afterwards they started working on a new single - Litany based on the poem "Al Ha Schita" (Of the slaughter) written by bialik which is also related to the riots in kishinev and was written before Bialik visited Kishinev.
